Prime Minister
Narendra Modi
has urged the
BJP-led NDA candidates
in the Lok Sabha polls to create awareness among voters regarding the
Congress’s alleged plan
to take away “
reservation from SC
, ST and OBC communities and give it away to their vote bank”.
In a personal letter addressed to the Phase-3 candidates, PM claimed that the Congress and its allies harbor divisive and discriminatory intentions, despite the fact that reservation based on religion is unconstitutional.
“They are also bent upon taking away the hard-earned wealth of the people and giving it to their vote bank. The Congress has also made it clear that they will bring in dangerous ideas like inheritance tax. The nation must unite to stop them,” he said.
In his letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Modi praised him as an invaluable party worker and a successful minister at both the central and state levels in Gujarat. He highlighted Shah’s commitment to India’s growth and social service since their association began in the 1980s.
PM Modi
commended Shah’s role as the BJP president in making it the world’s largest party and his contributions as a minister in the abrogation of Article 370 and the passage of three criminal laws in Parliament. He also praised Shah’s excellent performance as a speaker in Parliament and his ability to present complex matters in a simple manner.
The prime minister expressed confidence that Shah will always receive the support of the people from his Gandhinagar constituency, where he has served as the Lok Sabha MP.
In his letters to the candidates, PM Modi reminded them of the difficulties faced by families across India over the past five to six decades. He noted that while the quality of life has improved for every section of society in the last 10 years, there is still much work to be done, and this election will be crucial in ensuring a better life for everyone.
PM stated that every vote for the BJP will contribute to India’s journey to become a developed nation by 2047. He highlighted the encouraging trends from the first two phases of the election, indicating that the people of India have made up their minds to support this vision.
The prime minister acknowledged the challenges posed by the summer heat and appealed to voters to cast their votes early in the morning. He urged party workers to motivate people to vote in large numbers and focus on winning each booth, as victory in every booth leads to success in the constituency. He also requested workers to take care of their health and that of others around them.
PM Modi also addressed the voters and said, “As a candidate of the BJP, I urge you to convey my assurance to each voter that every moment of my time is dedicated to the welfare of my fellow citizens. I send you my wishes for your victory in the election. It is Modi’s Guarantee that we will work 24 by 7 for 2047!”
Prime Minister Modi also wrote a letter to Lok Sabha candidate Shivraj Singh Chouhan praising his work since the early days of student politics. He hailed Chouhan saying that during his tenure Madhya Pradhesh came under consideration as one of the leading states.
