Chilly mornings persist across Telangana, 25 districts record temperatures below 10°C

Telangana continues to reel under chilly weather as temperatures dropped sharply across the State on Tuesday, December 17. Out of the 33 districts, 25 recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C. Hyderabad, the State capital, experienced a morning chill with the temperature dipping to 10.3°C, according to data provided by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).

As per the data, Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the State at 5.9°C, followed by Sangareddy and Nirmal at 6.7°C. Rangareddy reported 6.8°C, while Vikarabad and Kamareddy both recorded 6.9°C.

Several other districts also faced intense cold conditions. Kumaram Bheem Asifabad reported 7.1°C, Siddipet 7.6°C, Medak 7.8°C, and Rajanna Sircilla and Medchal Malkajgiri each touched 8.2°C. Jagtial and Mahabubnagar recorded 8.5°C and 8.6°C, respectively, while Nizamabad registered 8.8°C and Hanamkonda 8.9°C.

Temperatures remained similarly low in Nagarkurnool and Mancherial at 9.1°C, Warangal at 9.4°C, and Mulugu and Jayashankar Bhupalpally at 9.5°C. Narayanpet recorded 9.6°C, Peddapalli 9.7°C, Yadadri Bhongir 9.8°C, Karimnagar 9.9°C, and Jangaon settled at 10°C.

Meanwhile, the remaining eight districts, though slightly warmer, still experienced cold conditions with temperatures hovering just above 10°C. Hyderabad recorded 10.3°C, Nalgonda (10.4°C), and Mahabubabad (10.5°C). Jogulamba Gadwal and Wanaparthy reported 10.9°C, while Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam recorded 11.2°C and 11.3°C, respectively. Suryapet registered the highest minimum temperature in the State at 12.1°C.
