The Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Neerabh Kumar Prasad and A. Santhi Kumari, and senior officials from both sides discussed issues related to the A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014 (APRA) that are pending resolution, in a meeting held in Mangalagiri on Monday (December 2, 2024).

the deliberations were mainly about dividing the institutions under Schedules 9 and 10 of APRA, wherein some progress had been made earlier but the matter remained unsettled.

The Chief Secretaries also discussed the issue of electricity dues to be paid by Telangana to Andhra Pradesh, the apportionment of funds of the institutions whose division is to be finalised, and sharing tax revenue. Monday’s (December 2, 2024) meeting was a follow-up of the talks held by Chief Ministers N. Chandrababu Naidu and A. Revanth Reddy in July 2024 in Hyderabad.
