Chief Minister inaugurates indoor stadium through videoconferencing in Salem

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated an indoor stadium via videoconferencing on Friday. The stadium, constructed at a cost of ₹8.66 crore, spans 27,165 sq. ft. and is located on the premises of the Government College of Engineering at Karuppur.

The facility comprises a ground floor and a first floor, featuring a gym, a basketball court with a gallery, a chess playing area, table tennis and badminton courts, accommodation with toilets, rooms for coaches, a storeroom, and other amenities.

Minister for Tourism R. Rajendran, Collector R. Brindha Devi, and Mayor A. Ramachandran attended the inauguration. Mettur Sub-Collector (in charge) N. Loganayaki, Principal R. Vijayan, and other officials were also present.
