In 2019, Bilaspur constituency had 1,876,953 electors and 1,209,434 valid votes. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Arun Sao emerged victorious with 634,559 votes, defeating Indian National Congress’ Atal Shrivastav by 141,763 votes. In 2014, with 1,729,229 electors and 1,090,457 valid votes, BJP’s Lakhan Lal Sahu won with 561,387 votes, surpassing Indian National Congress’ Karuna Shukla by 176,436 votes.
