‘F1’ is scheduled for a global release on June 25, 2025, with audiences in the US and Canada getting to see it a bit earlier, on June 27, 2024.
The film stars Brad Pitt as a former Formula 1 driver making a comeback, with Damson Idris playing his teammate at a fictional team called APXGP. The movie has been filmed during real Grand Prix weekends, providing an authentic racing backdrop as the characters compete against top teams in the sport.
The film is a collaborative effort with the Formula 1 community, including all ten F1 teams, their drivers, the FIA, and race promoters. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is a co-producer, adding further authenticity and insight into the sport.
