‘BJP a poison, needs to be removed…’: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge

In Mumbai on Monday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a veiled attack on the BJP at an event celebrating former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary, terming the party as “poison” that needs to be removed completely. The event, marked as ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’, was attended by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray who highlighted Congress as a better ally compared to BJP. Thackeray wore a Congress stole for the first time, signifying a shift in political alliances.
