His fun statement came in the backdrop of BCCI handing a one-match ban to Rana for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during their Eden Gardens match against Delhi Capitals.
Kolkata Knight Riders are a happy bunch right now. Shreyas Iyer’s team have hardly put a foot wrong this IPL. They sit pretty at the top of the table for now. After their previous match against Lucknow Super Giants which they won by 98 runs, KKR’s flight had to be diverted twice because of Kolkata’s poor weather. KKR pacer Harshit Rana was captured engaging in a fun conversation with coach Ramakant Pandit inside the flight. During the video, Harshit Rana humorously exclaims, “Don’t even talk to BCCI!”. His reply comes when their coach suggests reaching out to BCCI to reschedule their game set for May 19th.
Rana’s tryst with BCCI
His fun statement came in the backdrop of BCCI handing a one-match ban to the Kolkata Knight Riders star. He was banned for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during their Eden Gardens match against the Delhi Capitals.
The entire “ban” controversy began during KKR’s opening match against SRH, when Harshit Rana sent off SRH’s Mayank Agarwal with a “flying kiss.” As a result, a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct was recorded, and he was fined 25% of his match fees.

Harshit Rana still skeptical?
Referring to the BCCI ban, Rana is seen asking Chandrakant Pandit to refrain from any sort of conversation with BCCI when the latter suggests talking to BCCI to reschedule their match because of flight fiasco, albeit in a joking manner. Notably, KKR stayed in Varanasi overnight because they could not land in Kolkata. Hence, Rana was suggesting for a change in KKR’s schedule.
