The Champions Trophy will be the first ICC to be held in Pakistan since the 1996 ODI World Cup.

The tussle between the BCCI and PCB has been going on for a while. Now that Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy 2025, things have gone up a level. According to reports, the India cricket team won’t travel to Pakistan for the ICC event and wants the PCB to implement a hybrid model by which Team India would play their matches in Dubai.

However, PCB isn’t happy with this decision. They had to do the same last year for the Asia Cup 2023 and co-hosted the event with Sri Lanka after India refused to travel to Pakistan. Now, they are threatening the BCCI that they won’t travel to India for the T20 World Cup 2026 if Team India refuses to come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Jay Shah & Mohsin Navqi to discuss issue

According to the latest reports, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will travel to Sri Lanka for the ICC annual meeting (July 19 to 22). With several agendas to attend to, one of the things Jay Shah would like to hash out with the PCB Chief, Mohsin Naqvi, would be the Champions Trophy 2025.
