Rodri becomes the first player from Manchester City to win the coveted Ballon d’Or award.

The coveted Ballon d’Or for 2024 is over with Manchester City’s Rodri winning the title. The midfielder won the Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup, and Euro 2024 to beat Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr (2nd) and Jude Bellingham (3rd) to create history.

Rodri became the first Manchester City player ever in the club’s history to win the prize. The top 5 standings have been dominated by Real Madrid and Manchester City. Dani Carvajal finished fourth while ace goal-getter Erling Haaland finished fifth. Former PSG and current Madrid star Kylian Mbappe finished sixth on the list.

Real Madrid however didn’t attend the event. The club decided not to attend the event, and neither Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham nor Carlo Ancelloti were in Paris.
