Arvinder Singh Sahney
has been appointed as the new chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IndianOil). With nearly 30 years of experience in the field, Sahney takes the helm at a crucial time for the energy giant.
Sahney’s journey with IndianOil began in 1993 after graduating as a chemical engineer from HBTI, Kanpur. He has held various high-ranking positions within the company, gaining experience in refinery operations, technical services, and the petrochemical sector.
Notably, he played a key role in the commissioning of the 15 MMTPA
Paradip Refinery
, a project that majorly boosted India’s refining capacity. Before his appointment as chairman, Sahney was responsible for leading IndianOil’s
petrochemical division
.
In addition to his new role, Sahney also holds the position of chairman at
Terra Clean Limited
, an IndianOil subsidiary dedicated to sustainable solutions. He is also on the board of directors for IndOil Montney Ltd, IndianOil’s wholly-owned subsidiary based in Canada.
