Suryakumar Yadav’s lean form continues as he perished for a single-digit score in Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy quarterfinal. India’s T20I captain was added to the squad for the clash against Haryana along with Shivam Dube. In the 5-match T20I series against England, SKY only managed to score only 28 runs in five innings.
Suryakumar Yadav flops on Ranji return
Surya was dismissed for only nine runs on Saturday as he was clean bowled by SP Kumar. The Mumbai batter recently hit a new low after registering an average of just 5.60 in the recently concluded IND vs ENG T20I series. His last first-class appearance for Mumbai came in October 2024.

Surya’s dismissal meant MUM were reduced to 25/4 within the first ten overs. All eyes will now be on Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur to rescue the side.
Mumbai’s clash against Haryana was initially scheduled to be held in Lahli. But it was moved in the last-minute to Kolkata, with the BCCI citing “unavoidable circumstances”.
