The wait for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is almost over as the much-anticipated sequel, starring Allu Arjun, is set to hit the screens in a week. The makers have wrapped up filming and post-production just in time, ensuring the movie is ready for its grand release. Ahead of its release on December 5, the Central Board of Film Certification (
CBFC
) has officially granted the movie a U/A certificate.
A U/A rating indicates the film is suitable for viewers aged 12 and above, with parental guidance advised for younger audiences due to some intense scenes. Allu Arjun shared the news with his fans on X (formerly Twitter), posting, “U/A it is!!”
On November 28, the CBFC reviewed the Telugu version of the movie and suggested a few edits before granting certification. The board requested the removal of the word “r***i” from three instances in the film, as well as the deletion of the words “Denguddi” and “Venkateshwar.”
Additionally, two violent scenes were altered. In one, the image of an amputated leg flying through the air was removed. Another scene, where the protagonist is seen holding a severed arm, was modified to focus on the character instead of the graphic detail. After implementing these changes, the makers received the U/A certificate.
