The All England Open starts on Tuesday with some of India’s top shuttlers like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and the Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pairing in action. With a rich history, the All England is one of the most prestigious events on the yearly badminton calendar. Here’s a look at what the draw looks like for Indians:
Lakshya Sen:
Though Sen will have father DK Sen and Korean Yoo Yong-Sung in his coaching corner guiding him through a relatively simple draw, the word out of Bengaluru is that women’s head coach Indonesian Irwansyah is likely to offer key inputs to the Sen campaign, having been based out of the Padukone academy these past months. Sen’s path is littered with extremely beatable names – Koki Watanabe, Jonatan Christie, Li Shifeng/HS Prannoy and Shi Yuqi in the top half. That would count as a good draw with Axelsen mired in the bottom half with very tricky Chinese and Japanese, besides compatriot Anders Antonsen.

Satwik-Chirag
The new world order is upon India’s finest doubles pair, as they start against Danish Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard, ranked No.28. Double Olympic champions Wang Chi-Lin (with Chiu Hsiang) or Chinese Xie-Zeng, better than their ranking of 33, could be next. And their new Malaysian nemesis Goh-Izzuddin or older Korean ones Seo-Kim make it a tough draw.

Treesa-Gayatri
Twice semifinalists in this tournament, they had a decent World Tour Finals. The pairing is capable of upsetting some big names, and face a Chinese Taipei pair – always tricky in Round 1 – Koreans Kim-Kong next and Chinese power-pairing Liu-Tan in the quarters. It’s as tough a draw as they could have landed.

How to watch All England badminton tournament on TV and streaming
Live streaming of All England 2025 badminton event will happen on Jio Hotstar and BWF TV YouTube Channel in India. Live telecast of the All England Open badminton tournament can be seen on Star Sports 2 TV channel.
PV Sindhu
She starts against Kim Ga Eun, but Han Yue (1-7 vs Sindhu) makes even a second round sound ominous now. The Indian can beat Gregoria Tunjung on a very good day in the quarters, but the odds are stacked. The Sindhu of old would’ve chomped through this draw, right to the final, but Wang Zhi Yi isn’t the Chinese she can stomp past now.
HS Prannoy
Frenchman Toma Popov first up, and Li Shifeng / Ginting in Round 2. An all-India quarterfinal (Sen vs Prannoy) would count as decent progress, though Shi Yuqi is the man to beat in their half.
