IPL 2025: After batting first, Ajinkya Rahane’s Team Purple scored 223/4 in their stipulated 20 overs.
KKR’s new skipper Ajinkya Rahane started off the season, or rather the practice matches for the IPL 2025 season, rather poorly. In the first he scored 13 from 11 and then on Monday, in the second KKR intra-squad match, he only managed 11 from 9. That had no or little effect on how the rest of his Team Purple fared as they went on to score 223/4 in 20 overs, setting a target of 224 fr Team Gold. Unfortunately the match was abruptly stopped due to rain.

KKR vice-captain Venky Mysore was in his element as he struck 46 from 21. In that, there was a flurry of runs from Rinku Singh and Ramandeep in the end, who played cameos of 29 and 19, respectively.
