Aavin has been giving a big push to ice cream sales with offers for small and large consumers this festive season.
“The wedding season is just a few days away. People are booking ice creams for serving in receptions and other events. We are offering a 4.5 litre brick of ice cream at just ₹500 – Rs. 520. Organisers can serve around 50 people with 4,500 ml of ice cream,” explained an official in the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, whose popular brand is Aavin.
“We have brought down the price of these ice cream blocks by Rs. 100 per block. Vanilla, mango and strawberry flavoured 4500 ml blocks can be had for Rs. 500 each and chocolate, pista, badam and butterscotch will be priced at Rs. 520 each. We don’t use any vegetable fat and all our 75 varieties of ice creams including premium variants are made from pure milk. Those needing one or two blocks for smaller events like birthday parties, can pick up the dessert from nearby Aavin parlours after pre-booking,” said another official.
Aavin ice creams have a shelf life of six months if properly stored, which is another added advantage for event organisers, pointed out an official, who said that the Federation was also looking for wholesale distributors of Aavin ice cream. “It involves a big investment since cold storage, power back up and chill trucks are needed for this.”
For those buying ice cream sticks too have a sweet offer. Anyone buying any two of the duets will get Rs.10 off. One stick of mango or grape duet costs Rs. 25 each and two would usually cost Rs. 50. Till the end of this month two sticks will cost Rs. 40. Event organisers can also opt for Aavin’s mini kulfis that are available throughout the State now. These minis are priced at Rs. 15/stick.
