In a big relief to Arvind Kejriwal, the Supreme Court granted interim bail to the Delhi CM on May 10. The bail has been granted till June 1 and Apex Court asked Kejriwal to surrender on June 2. SC rejected Delhi CM’s advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi’s request to grant him interim bail till June 4. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in connection with a money laundering probe. The investigation was related to alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy 2021-22. Meanwhile, a war of words broke out between NDA and INDIA Bloc leaders over the verdict. While BJP claimed that it won’t affect the election results, AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that Arvind Kejriwal would overturn the polls’ results in 22 days.
