Earlier, Kiran Rao revealed the reason why she prefers to keep his son Azad away from media attention and limelight. During a conversation with News18, Kiran revealed that since she and Aamir are not interested in attending parties, their son isn’t keen in such events, either.

Kiran shared, “I feel like children should have their privacy. Kids who are interested in coming in public then sure, but Azad never really was interested in these big events, so we let him have his privacy. Aamir and I, as people, are very unassuming. We are not the kind of glamorous people who go out and party or go to events all that much. I think it follows from the fact that we don’t go, so he doesn’t have a reason to be out and about on the red carpet. He is not as interested and neither am I too keen to take him. I think children need to find their own areas of interest.”

On the work front, Kiran has left everyone impressed with her latest directorial film ‘Laapataa Ladies’. The movie, which is set in the fictional state of Nirmal Pradesh in 2001, revolves around two brides named Jaya/Pushpa (Pratibha Ranta) and Phool (Nitanshi Goel), who unintentionally switch places while travelling by train. Presented by Jio Studios, this comedy-drama has been bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s Kindling Productions.
