I can also see Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon rocking these. I was in Istanbul recently and a lot of people there asked me about my outfits. I was happy seeing the engagement and the eyeballs they received.”
The Lipstick Under My Burkha actress is focused on acting but believes in giving equal attention to her new venture. She says, “I spend a lot of time in the production unit personally understanding how clothes are manufactured and how the business of manufacturing takes place. I am quite involved in the business. I do two trips to Jaipur in a month.”
About Raah Jaipur she had earlier said, “I have been thinking of opening my own clothing line since I started travelling extensively. I used to see a lot of Indian clothing brands thriving and I wondered why I don’t have my own clothing line. Afterall, as an Indian we come from a space where cotton is easily available, and fabrics are just so wonderful. That’s when I came to a concrete decision. I wanted to promote conscious clothing and definitely something that could be sustainable and good for earth and not damage the environment. So, we set up a unit in Jaipur. We have called it Raah Jaipur.”
