PATNA: Four people were killed and two severely injured after an
unknown vehicle
rammed into two
motorbikes
on SH-78 (Bihta-Sarmera road) in
Nalanda
district in Bihar Saturday night, reports Faryal Rumi. The accident took place at Barhiya village under
Sarmera
block when six youth on two bikes were returning home from a
Dussehra fair
.
A police team that reached the spot found all six youth in an unconscious state.
They admitted them to Sarmera community health centre where four were declared “brought dead” and two were referred to Biharsharif Sadar hospital. Later, the two critically injured youth were referred to Patna for better treatment, police said.
Vikas Kumar Yadav, SHO of Sarmera police station, said: “We have not been able to identify the vehicle that rammed into the bikes and we are hoping for some leads. We sent the bodies of four victims for postmortem.”
