In a recent conversation, Saqib took a moment to reflect on his career and the evolution of acting over the past decade. When asked about what he misses most from the early days of his acting journey, he shared his reflections on the thrill and excitement of those initial experiences. He said, “I don’t know if I miss it or not, but excitement is one thing for sure. When I was doing my first film, the excitement level was off the roof.”
Looking back at his evolution in the industry, he added, “Over the last 10 years, for me, the definition of acting has changed. In the beginning, it was all about your energy, and your body language played an important role. But now, after 15 years in the industry, acting has become more internal. If it’s in your eyes, only then can it be felt.”
Saqib believes this shift in acting has positively impacted his craft. He shared, “I feel I’ve gone through that definition change over the years, so I think acting has evolved in the last 10-15 years. And with the rise of digital platforms, actors have so much more to do. It’s still not very theatrical, however, it’s more about truly feeling the character. That, for me, has been the biggest shift over the years, and I believe it has changed for the better.”
