Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has received eight ‘Gold Garden’ awards and one rolling trophy for the ‘Best Landscape Garden’ category at the Garden Festival, organised by the Telangana Horticulture Department on Thursday.
Director of Horticulture Shaik Yasmeen Basha presented the awards to HMR senior horticulture officer Sainath Sunkara at a function held at the Public Gardens.
HMR has achieved the distinction of winning a large number of awards for the last six consecutive years during the show for greenery at Metro stations and its rooftop gardens.
HMR MD N.V.S. Reddy, congratulating the horticulture team, said that there are plans to increase greenery under the viaducts along with avenue plantation in all Metro corridors, according to a press release.
