With one day left before campaigning for the Delhi Assembly ends, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) star campaigners, from Union Ministers to Chief Ministers, held rallies and roadshows asking voters to elect a double-engine government to bring development to Delhi.

Attacking the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh alleged that the Delhi government refused central assistance “out of fear” that “all the credit would go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre”. He addressed rallies at Rajendra Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, and Chandni Chowk. “The city government does not take the Centre’s help. We don’t discriminate against any State, but the (Delhi) Chief Minister is afraid that Modi ji will get the credit,” he alleged.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Lok Sabha member Manoj Tiwari launched BJP’s fourth campaign song, “Dilwalon Ki Dilli Ko BJP Sarkar Chahiye (Big heart Delhi people want BJP government).

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the AAP chief “is not even honest to his birthplace. “I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal, you took birth on the soil of Haryana, but even then, you lied about the water coming from Haryana. The person who could lie about his own birthplace, how can he be true to Delhi?” he asked. Mr. Saini was referring to alleged comments made by Mr. Kejriwal related to water in the Yamuna being poisoned by Haryana.

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, taking a jibe at AAP and Congress, said they first fought together and are abusing each other. “When Mr. Kejriwal was going to jail, the Congress stood with AAP. But now they are at each other’s throats.”

Appealing to the voters to come put in large numbers, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “The BJP is working hard in Assam. Bring in BJP in Delhi to witness the same hard work and development”
