Ram Mohan Naidu Wednesday met airlines and directed them to keep
Prayagraj airfares
in check. For the first time since the Maha Kumbh began, return airfares for Prayagraj were in the range of Rs 20,000-30,000 — down from upto Rs 53,000 around important snan dates seen till now.
The aviation ministry said on X: “Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, along with Secretary V Vualnam, DGCA Faiz Ahmed Kidwai and senior officials, met airline representatives to review adequacy of
air connectivity to Prayagraj
from across the country while maintaining reasonable fares during the once in 144 years Maha Kumbh Mahotsav. Under the minister’s guidance, regular coordination meetings have been held to provide a seamless and comfortable travel experience for millions of devotees attending the world’s largest religious gathering from Jan 13 to Feb 26, 2025.”
