Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in his house on Janaury 16 as there was an attempt of robbery. According to reports, Saif was asleep when this burglar entered his house but woke up when he heard noise outside. Thus, Saif got into a fight with the burglar and was stabbed. The actor underwent a surgery and a 2.5 inch blade was removed from his spine. The accused was finally caught by the police and it was known that he is a Bangladeshi who entered India illegally.
Now reports suggest that the police wants to make sure their widen their investigation to the actual motive of the accused. The police is investigating if the accused actually wanted to kidnap

or keep him hostage and demand a ransom of Rs 1 crore. Either he wanted to steal from the house or keep Jeh hostage and ask for a ransom, as he needed money to return to Bangladesh, according to reports.
Earlier, some reports suggested that Jeh’s nanny Eliyamma was the first one to spot the intruder and saw him walking towards Jeh’s bed. She said, “When I tried to see who was there, I saw a person coming out of the bathroom and moving towards Jeh Baba’s (Jehangir’s) bed.”
So, apparently, Saif had tried to protect his son and got stabbed amidst a fight with the burglar. The police has continued the investigation and will soon be recording Saif Ali Khan’s statement as the doctors of Lilavati hospital give him discharge either today or tomorrow.
