Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh on Monday launched a book titled ‘Achievements of BJP in Delhi’, all of whose pages were blank.
Taking a jibe at the “unfulfilled promises” of the BJP-led Centre, Mr. Singh said, “The first page has details of how the BJP created two crore jobs every year. The second page has details about how ₹15 lakh was deposited in every citizen’s bank account.”
In response, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that if Mr. Singh takes a break from “plotting conspiracies”, he would see the symbols of development by the BJP across Delhi.
Mr. Singh should also note that while Arvind Kejriwal was busy constructing and decorating his Sheeshmahal palace, Prime Minister Modi was building and adorning Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, he added.
Lastly, Mr. Sachdeva reminded Sanjay Singh that his government has not purchased even a single bus for DTC in ten years, whereas the Modi Government has provided Delhi with over 1,300 electric buses.
The book was launched at the party headquarters by AAP Delhi State secretary Reena Gupta and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
While addressing a press conference, Mr. Singh listed the achievements of the BJP that could be ‘found’ in the book. “Today, AAP will release a book showcasing what he has been able to achieve so far. The BJP won’t tell you this, but we will reveal it,” Mr. Singh said.
“The fifth page has details of how the price of diesel is ₹40 per litre and petrol is ₹50 per litre in the country. The sixth page has details of how the gas cylinder, for which the BJP leaders used to protest, is being sold at ₹250,” he added.
The ‘achievements’ spoken about by the AAP leader refer to different poll promises made by the BJP before the 2014 Lok Sabha election.
