This will be the start of India’s white-ball season with an ODI series and ICC Champions Trophy to follow.
The focus shifts back from the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy to actual cricket. The Indian team arrived in batches yesterday (January 18) in Kolkata to start their preparations for the 1st India vs. England T20I. Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy were the first ones to arrive, and captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma joined them a little later.
Most of the other players and the head coach, Gautam Gambhir, came in the evening, while Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya arrived around midnight.
