Juhi Babbar reveals dad Raj Babbar told her about second wife Smita Patil when she was 7 years old: 'He spoke to me and...'

Raj Babbar‘s relationship with Smita Patil, which began in 1982, caused turmoil in his marriage to

Nadira Babbar

. Raj and Smita married in 1975 and had two children, Juhi and Arya. Recently, Juhi Babbar shared that her father informed her about Smita when she was just 7 years old.
Recently, Juhi gave an interview to Lehren TV, where she revealed that her father, Raj Babbar, told her about his marriage to Smita Patil when she was just seven years old. She mentioned that he explained the situation to her at that young age.

Raj and Nadira got married in 1974. At that time, they were struggling in their careers and lived in Nadira’s mother’s small apartment in Delhi. In 1976, they had a baby girl. To build his career, Raj left Nadira at her mother’s house and moved to Mumbai to try acting.

In 1979, Nadira moved to Mumbai to join Raj Babbar, and in 1981, they had their second child, Arya Babbar. However, their happiness was disrupted when Raj Babbar became involved with Smita Patil in 1982 while filming

Bheegi Raatein

.

Raj once shared that his first wife, Nadira, was very understanding about his relationship with Smita Patil, and it was his daughter, Juhi, who became very close to Smita. He recalled their first meeting in Rourkela during the filming of Bheegi Palken, which started with a clash but eventually laid the foundation for their relationship. Raj emphasized that his connection with Smita was not due to issues with Nadira, but rather something that naturally developed. He also mentioned how Juhi enjoyed spending time with Smita.
Tragically, Smita Patil’s marriage to Raj Babbar was short-lived. She passed away just 15 days after giving birth to their son, Prateik Babbar, due to complications during childbirth. It is said that Smita’s final wish was to be dressed as a bride, a wish that Raj Babbar honored by dressing her as a bride during her last rites.
