And as a gesture to fans, his first film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ will be re-released in theaters just a few days prior to its 25th anniversary. Originally released on January 14, 2000, the romantic thriller catapulted Hrithik to stardom. Hrithik garnered huge acclaim for his performance, not to mention the great memorable music of the movie. The re-release, dated January 10 according to Bollywood Hungama, indeed works as a birthday gift to Hrithik and his fans.
Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, who directed ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’, is taking care to plan the re-release to the minute. To make the movie appeal to today’s audience, prints of the film have been re-mastered for a crisp, sharp look on the big screen. That way, there will be an opportunity for fans, especially those too young or were not present when the movie was released, to see Hrithik’s debut as everyone did in 2000.
The romantic thriller ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’, also emerged with Ameesha Patel, debuting from the other side, with a tremendous cast supporting the lead from the sides of Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Mohnish Bahl, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Shah, and Farida Jalal, and the charming love tale coupled with the peppy soundtrack turned the film highly box-office material, setting Hrithik at the center of Bollywood stardom.
Reports have it that the re-release trailer will be uploaded on digital platforms in the first week of January. This will further build up hype among the fans as it follows immediately after Rakesh Roshan’s successful re-release campaign of another old film, which is going to complete its 30th year in 2025. Hrithik, who assisted in the direction of ‘Karan Arjun’, has paid his tributes to the film by lending his voice over for the re-release trailer.
