Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died on Thursday night, just hours after being admitted to AIIMS in Delhi. As the news of his passing spread, people from all over the country began to pay tribute to the veteran Congress leader. He was 92.
Many Bollywood celebrities shared their condolences. Sunny Deol expressed his sorrow, saying, “I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a visionary leader who played a pivotal role in shaping India’s economic liberalization. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 due to age-related medical conditions, as confirmed by AIIMS. He served as Prime Minister of India for two terms, from 2004 to 2014. He took office for the first time in 2004 after Congress won the Lok Sabha elections against Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s NDA. He served a second term from 2009 to 2014 and was succeeded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.
