Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Paresh Rawal have commenced the shooting of their horror-comedy film ‘Thama,’ with Aditya Satpodar set to direct the project. The film has a mix of two eras: present-day Delhi and the
Vijayanagara Empire
of the old days with vampires.
Reports go on to state that this trio shot their introductory scenes at Chitra Studio, located in Mumbai. The set was designed to create a Delhi flat that serves as a home for Paresh Rawal’s character. The shooting is being done at night and the schedule commenced began from December 12th, 2024. The shoot is likely to continue till December 23, 2024, after which the team will have a New Year break.
The filming will resume in January 2025. They are expected to shoot for a month in Delhi. Then, the unit will move to Ooty in February 2025, where Nawazuddin Siddiqui will join the team. Nawazuddin will play the antagonist with a unique look. Reportedly, long shooting sessions are planned in the forests for the Ooty scheduled, as reportedly Nawazuddin’s character has been living in the jungle.

. Recently Amar Kaushik in an interview with India Today expressed his excitement about the film and the new pair of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. According to him, both the artists will have different character paths in the film that would surprise the audience. The script is said to be in the final stages, with pre-production scheduled to begin soon.
