Brisbane Weather Forecast: Rain to play spoilsport at Gabba on Day 5 of India vs Australia 3rd Test?

What an exciting final (5th) day awaits for the India vs Australia 3rd Test. Pat Cummins and co. have a chance to wrap things but weather gods might have something different on their mind. The weather forecast for tomorrow (December 18) doesn’t look that promising for Australia but Team India they’ll be happy as the chances a draw increases which’ll further help their World Test Championship qualification chances.
The match did start on time on Day 4, but four rain interruptions saw just 57.5 overs bowled. This means if at any point in time there is a rain delay, we definitely won’t see anywhere close to the full quota of overs (90). Australia will come out to bat first and then will have to set Team India. Since the hosts were able to dismiss India in under 75 overs despite a top-order failure, doing it again with even fewer overs left seems almost impossible on the final day of the India vs Australia 3rd Test.Â

The play will start at 9:50 AM IST (5:20 AM IST). The weather looks good in the first session, but it will get worse as the game goes on. In the first session (5:30 to 7:50 AM IST), there is just a 7 to 10% chance of rain. This will be increased from 49 to 62% in the second session (8:30 to 10:30 AM IST) and then just 49 to 62% in the final session (10:50 AM to 12:50 PM IST).
