Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that small industries played a major role in the industrial development of the State.
He was inaugurating the India International Industrial Expo 2024 organised by the Kerala State Small Industries Association and the Department of Industries in Kochi. The Chief Minister said the State acquired 85% of land for the industrial corridor and manufacturing cluster in Palakkad.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve delivered the keynote address. The expo, being organised at KINFRA International Exhibition Centre, Kakkanad, is aimed at driving innovation and collaboration.
The three-day expo, which ends on Sunday (December 15), has brought together over 300 prominent machinery manufacturers from India and abroad, offering a platform for exhibitors to showcase their cutting-edge products and services.
Sessions on vendor development initiatives and discussions on leveraging artificial intelligence for industrial growth will be part of the programme. Aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to network with machinery manufacturers, while financial assistance for new ventures and expansions will be provided through help desks set up by the banks.
