PKL 2024: Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls languish in bottom half; updated points table of PKL

We are in the Pune leg of PKL 2024, and this year’s tournament has been full of surprises. While many expected a strong Puneri Paltan team to be in the top half at the completion of 100 matches, that has not been the case. Aslam Inamdar’s team finds itself in the eight position for now, where they have just won 7 matches from 17, and lost as many, drawing 3.

On the other hand, Jaideep Dahiya’s Haryana Steelers have maintained their journey at the top of the points table of PKL. In this year’s PKL 2024, the Steelers top the charts with 13 wins in 17 matches, and 67 points. But the biggest surprise of all has been Patna Pirates — who are in second position — largely because of the efforts of little-known Devank Dalal, who has scored 221 raid points only in 17 matches.

Meanwhile, the biggest problem for the bottom-placed Bengaluru Bulls has been the failure of their raiding unit. Pardeep Narwal has been poor in the 14 matches he has played, getting only 74 raid points. He is in the 20th position for the best raider in PKL 2024, and surprisingly the best raider in his team.
