‘ has just released in cinemas on Friday, November 15. The movie is based on events that led up to the 2002 Godhra train burning incident. The film has got mixed reviews so far, and now PM Narendra Modi has come out in its support, thus stating that true incidents are shown in the movie.
The Prime Minister reacted to a tweet shared by Alok Bhatt, as he penned down some pointers regarding the movie. PM Modi reshared this tweet and said, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
‘The Sabarmati Report’ has seen a growth at the box office due to positive word of mouth. On Friday, it had an opening of only Rs 1.25 crore. On Saturday, the movie made around Rs 2 crore. On Sunday, there was further growth as it made Rs 3.25 crore. The total collection so far is Rs 6.35 crore net in India.
Apart from Vikrant Massey, the movie stars Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra as well. Vikrant got a lot of love after his film ’12th Fail’ was praised by one and all and became a sleeper hit at the box office. He was last seen in the OTT release ‘Haseen Dilruba 2’.
