For the first time in Brazil, the D23 fan event over the weekend gave fans a thrilling sneak peek into the upcoming film ‘Thunderbolts’. Here was the longer trailer of that movie, presented by David Harbour, who reprises his role as Red Guardian, giving a closer look into the much-awaited movie that will bring some of Marvel’s villains and antiheroes together for a very dangerous mission. Fans finally had their first taste of the action-packed ensemble film, reports The Variety.
Directed by Jake Schreier, ‘Thunderbolts’ was produced by Kevin Feige and movie-inspired from Kurt Busiek’s comic book series. The film actually is a version of Marvel’s rendition of the ‘Suicide Squad’. Unlikely heroes of less-than-high moral character must accept a mission for the betterment of humanity at the risk of their questionable actions. Sharing the screen with Florence Pugh, who reprises her role as Yelena Belova from ‘Black Widow’, are several A-listers, including the Red Guardian from David Harbour, Winter Soldier from Sebastian Stan, Taskmaster from Olga Kurylenko, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost. Another significant actor in the cast is Wyatt Russell as John Walker and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who manages the team as the mastermind of Thunderbolts. On Top Gun: Maverick, Lewis Pullman gets on board, playing a character that is meant to play a mysterious role named Bob.
The trailer reveals that it will have chaotic as well as intense missions for the team. With characters that are evil or more anti-heroic, the movie promises an interesting mix of comedy, action, and heart as the group tries to redeem themselves in the face of threats that would probably rip the world apart. Harbour says that “there was a lot of secrecy over it,” and “everyone is being pretty tight-lipped about what happened” because of measures that had been put in place to keep the plot secret. He reveals that in preparation, he wasn’t allowed to see the script of the movie. Instead, the story was unfolded to him in a “campfire” style by director Jake Schreier. ‘Thunderbolts’ will be coming to the big screen in 2025, which is May 2, to be exact. If an all-star cast is combined with a concept that sounds very intriguing, the movie can likely become a big thing within the
