During an interview with Mid-day, Karan spoke about his rise to fame, stating that the success of “Tauba Tauba” was a turning point in his career. He describes the overwhelming response from fans as surreal, and which pushed him to grow as an artist and capture a wider audience.
Despite his current success, Karan believes that achieving fame requires a lot of effort. He spent years writing for other artists and honing his craft before gaining recognition.
Born in the village of Ghurala in Punjab, Karan’s journey to stardom includes personal tragedy and relentless hard work. After losing his parents at a young age, he moved to Canada, where he faced numerous challenges while pursuing his passion for music. Moving to Canada meant starting from scratch, and he faced financial struggles and sleepless nights along the way. However, he persevered through the hardships, believing in his talent and vision.
Karan also shared insights about his friendship with Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, whom he admires for his humility and positive energy. They bonded over their shared love for Indian tadka and Punjabi food during late-night shoots for the film ‘
