Mumbai: At a press conference in Mumbai on November 2, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC responded to Sanjay Raut’s statement defending Arvind Sawant, who had made derogatory remarks about her, saying he need not apologize because she is “imported.” Shaina NC pointed out that if Sanjay Raut finds no problem with using the term “maal,” it reveals his mindset. She also questioned the MVA’s official stance, noting the inconsistency between Arvind Sawant issuing an apology while Sanjay Raut claims there was no need for one. “I want to ask Shiv Sena (UBT) about the statement of Sanjay Raut, who said that he (Arvind Sawant) doesn’t need to apologise as she (Shaina NC) is “imported”… I want to say to Sanjay Raut that if you have no objection to the word “maal”, it shows you mentality… What is the official stand of “MahaVinashAghadi”?… You (Arvind Sawant) apologised, 30 hours after an FIR has been lodged and then Sanjay Raut says that there is no need for an apology…”, said Shaina NC.
