Mohun Bagan climbs to second spot, East Bengal remains bottom last after Kolkata Derby in Indian Super League
The double match week of Saturday ended with the much anticipated Kolkata Derby. But it was Mohun Bagan who reigned supreme with a 2-0 win over arch-rivals East Bengal. And now with this win, the Mariners climb to the 2nd position of the ISL Points table from the fourth spot. On the other hand, the Red and Gold remain at the bottom last spot with 5 defeats in equal games.
The Mariners had a rocky start, but have eventually gained composure. With 10 points from 5 matches, Jose Molina’s men are now just 3 points behind table toppers Bengaluru FC. Jamshedpur FC and Punjab FC occupy the third and fourth spot with 9 points from 4 games.
