Simi Garewal had pointed this out to her on her chat show, if not having a father figure, was the reason why, one doesn’t know what to expect in men. Rekha agreed and added that for the longest time, she was shy around men and didn’t know how to behave.
When asked about her childhood memories and the complicated relationship of her parents, the actress had revealed on ‘Rendezvous With Simi Garewal’. “I had a wonderful childhood. Whatever little that was, because I grew up very fast,” she said. Further talking about her mother and father’s relationship, she said, “It was a romantic relationship, and anything that has romance involved isn’t easy. I was a baby when he moved out. I don’t remember that. We were not given the impression that something was out of the ordinary or dysfunctional.”

I never had the chance. He would just drop them and go.” She added, “I don’t think he noticed me. I don’t think he saw me.”
