Haryana leader Ashok Tanwar‘s joining the Congress made news as it happened on the day the campaign ended in the state. However, there was a similar joining of a leader that got ignored largely. Supreme Court advocate Brijesh Kalappa, who quit Congress in 2022 to join AAP, left it in 2023. On Thursday, he announced that he is rejoining Congress and has sent a letter to the KPCC president seeking his readmission. He added that he will rejoin on a date convenient to state president DK Shivakumar.

Being the party in-charge of Haryana, BJP leader Satish Poonia has been quite busy during the campaigning for assembly elections. On Tuesday night, Poonia developed severe stomach pain, and was taken to a hospital in Rohtak. The doctors performed a surgery to remove his appendix. But without wasting any time, Poonia got back to work from the hospital itself on Thursday morning.
A Surprise Visitor at Humayun Tomb Museum
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi on Friday afternoon visited the Humayun Tomb in the city and went directly to the museum. The Congress leader spent some time at the museum and then quietly left the place along with some people accompanying her.
