Earlier in the day, it was Delhi Capitals’ account that was compromised by hackers.
It has been a concerning day for Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises. After Delhi Capitals’ (DC) Twitter account was hacked, the Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) account was compromised. A series of suspicious tweets were uploaded by the RR account.
Just a couple of hours after the Delhi Capitals account was compromised, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) Twitter handle began sharing suspicious links, believed to be part of a cryptocurrency scam targeting users of the Raydium platform. The same Raydium link that appeared on the Capitals account was also posted by the hacked Royals’ account.
However, in a twist, the Rajasthan Royals account also tweeted a message hyping up an upcoming tweet related to cryptocurrency. Fans were quick to notice that these accounts were compromised and are somewhat worried about this whole fiasco. Let’s hope the IPL franchises can get things under control soon. We don’t want to see any more of this online chaos.
