The automatic qualifiers for the Diamond League final in the javelin event include an impressive line-up. Alongside Neeraj Chopra, the top six includes Paris Olympics bronze medallist Anderson Peters, Julian Webber, Jakub Vadlejch, Andrian Mardare, and Roderick Genki Dean.

Grenada’s Anderson Peters leads the rankings with 21 points, following his best throw of 90.61m at Lausanne. Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch is in second place with 16 points.

Chopra emphasised that his top priority is to focus on his health. “The first goal is to see the doctor and make my groin 100 per cent fit,” he stated. He also expressed his desire to continue refining his technique and push for even greater throws in the coming year.
