Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas recently discussed his potential entry into

Bollywood

and shared that each film industry has its own talented actors. The actor doesn’t feel the need to enter Bollywood just for the sake of it. He revealed that he was offered a role in the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘

Laal Singh Chaddha

’ but had to turn it down due to prior work commitments.

“Every industry is blessed with a lot of great actors, so I don’t want to come here as an outsider and take roles away from them. I would love to work in any industry as long as the character is Malayali and is living in Mumbai or Hyderabad. Otherwise, I don’t see any point,” Thomas told PTI.

“I watch films in all languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Spanish, and Japanese,” he added. The actor is currently preparing for the release of his latest action drama, ‘

ARM

,’ on September 12 in Malayalam, Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

The ‘2018’ actor has been part of many successful movies in Mollywood, including ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen,’ ‘Guppy,’ ‘Minnal Murali,’ and ‘Anweshippin Kandethum.’ He shared that he has gained different experiences from all his films, whether they were hits or flops.

“I started with small and supporting roles, comedic and villain roles, and then played lead roles, and again did supporting roles. I love switching between roles. I wanted to be an actor, and when I completed my first movie, I achieved my dream. Since then, I’ve been living my dream. So, whatever I’ve achieved after that, I consider it as a bonus,” he mentioned.

Tovino is excited to be part of the much-awaited sequel, ‘

L2 Empuraan

,’ directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. “I’ve shot for a few days and will shoot for the remaining part,” the actor shared about the Mohanlal-starring film.
Directed by Jithin Lal, ‘ARM’ unfolds across three distinct timelines—1900, 1950, and 1990—set in the scenic northern region of Kerala. Thomas plays three interconnected characters: Maniyan, Kunjikkelu, and Ajayan. Each character is tasked with the monumental responsibility of safeguarding a valuable piece of land, reflecting the evolving challenges and societal changes across generations. The movie also stars Tollywood actress Krithi Shetty in a lead role.
