The bond between Munna Bhai and

Circuit

a.k.a

Sanjay Dutt

and

Arshad Warsi

goes way beyond the big screen. Arshad Warsi’s recent revelation about Sanjay Dutt during a movie shoot is proof of the same.
The story dates back to their filming of ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ in Bangkok, where an unexpected altercation occurred. Arshad Warsi recounted how he and Sanjay Dutt found themselves in a tense situation involving two foreigners who had catcalled actress

Anusha Dandekar

.

During a chat with Samdish Bhatia, Warsi explained, “We were filming in Bangkok for ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ After wrapping up for the day, we decided to go out for a meal. Anusha Dandekar, who was also in the film, was with us. While I was walking ahead, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) and our friend Bittu were trailing behind. Anusha was walking ahead when two foreigners made some derogatory comments about her.”

Arshad detailed how the situation escalated quickly. Earlier it was only Arshad who stood for Anusha, but then he was joined by Sanjay and his friend. Both Dutt and his friend had a great build and everything was about to turn messy. “The scene turned chaotic. Just as a fight was about to break out, Bittu intervened, telling someone to ‘put the camera down.’ Sanju added, ‘Shut it off.’ At that moment, the focus shifted from the fight to the camera. The foreigners, seeing the commotion and the attention Sanjay was getting, thought that he might be a gangster. The crowd began shouting ‘Baba, Baba,’ and the foreigners, fearing for their safety, fled the scene,” Warsi recalled.

In a lighter vein, Arshad Warsi also shared his recent film critique during the same conversation. He expressed his disappointment with the look of Prabhas in the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’ While he praised Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama in the film directed by Nag Ashwin, he criticized Prabhas’s appearance. “Prabhas looked like a joker in the film,” Warsi remarked. He suggested that Prabhas’s character would have been better served with a look similar to Mel Gibson’s, rather than the one portrayed. Warsi’s comments have sparked reactions within the South Indian film industry, leading to discussions about his critique.
