In a big boost for national highway connectivity, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs led by PM Modi has approved the development of 8 important National High-Speed road corridor projects! The total cost of the projects is estimated to be Rs 50,655 crore. These include Agra – Gwalior corridor, Ayodhya Ring Road, Kanpur Ring Road projects and more! With the Agra-Gwalior national highway project, the travel time between the two cities will reduce by 50%! Agra – Gwalior National High-Speed Corridor: The upcoming 88-km high-speed corridor connecting Agra and Gwalior will be a fully access-controlled 6-lane corridor with a total capital cost of Rs 4,613 crore. The new corridor will improve connectivity to popular tourist destinations in Uttar Pradesh, such as the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, as well as Gwalior Fort in Madhya Pradesh.
