Mrunal Thakur’s latest appearance was in the multi-starrer film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, where she garnered acclaim for her brief 5-minute cameo. The movie draws heavy inspiration from the Mahabharata and is set in a dystopian future. It revolves around four main characters: Sumathi (played by Deepika Padukone), a pregnant woman believed to carry the 10th avatar of Vishnu; Ashwatthama (portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan), an immortal tasked with protecting the unborn child; Supreme Yaskin (played by Kamal Haasan), a ruthless villain determined to kill the child fearing its powers; and Bhairava (depicted by Prabhas), a bounty hunter motivated by monetary gain.
