Four film graduates from these institutions produced two short films over an intensive two-day workshop. These films highlighted the power of cinema as a universal language that transcends linguistic barriers.
The event featured a panel of industry professionals – Priyanka Khanna,
Prajakta Koli
,
Priyanka Ghose
, Rangita Pritish Nandy,
Sayani Gupta
and Saransh Golia. The discussion highlighted the cinematic heritage and collaborative spirit between the two countries and reinforced the importance of storytelling in building cultural bridges. While talking to us, Consul General De Masi, shared, “Cinema has a huge potential and such initiatives will hopefully lead our two countries into a much closer kind of collaboration in the cinema. It is a fantastic form of development in our relation.”
Sayani added, “I’ve always believed that languages cannot bind cinema because emotions and cinema are universal. Italy resonates with the love we have for cinema as a nation and culture. It’s an honor to be present at this event which brings together two countries passionate about cinema.”
