Hrithik Roshan
is also known for his effortless style of dancing. Choreographer-director
Farah Khan
recently talked about how surprised she was when Hrithik nailed the dance moves in his
debut film
‘
Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai
’.
Farah was the dance director of ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ and recently revealed that Hrithik did not tell them that he was a good dancer.
In a chat with Radio Nasha Official, Farah added that he was very quiet and they were practicing a normal song —
Sitaron Ki Mehfil
.
On a rehearsal break, Farah and her team decided to prank the newcomers including Hrithik. She told her assistant to choreograph the most difficult steps and ask Hrithik to perform them. The assistant had shown him the steps and thought Hrithik would say he couldn’t do that, which would be a funny moment on set. But he looked at the assistant and did the whole step effortlessly. Farah mentioned that it was like a joke on them. She even made fun of Hrithik by asking him to go home for two days and come back later.

Farah and her team soon realized they had underestimated Hrithik Roshan’s skills. She mentioned, with a blend of admiration and pride, that they had to re-choreograph everything, covering every possible move, and he not only executed it but outshone everyone. The song “Ek Pal Ka Jeena” became a hit as Hrithik’s charm was a show-stealer.
In a recent interview, the
choreographer
revealed that initially, Hrithik was set to share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘
Main Hoon Na
’, but was apprehensive about acting alongside such a prominent star. Addressing rumors about Hrithik and Abhishek Bachchan being considered for the role of Laxman in the film, Farah described it as a competitive casting process. She recalled seeing Hrithik’s potential while directing ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ and predicted his future stardom after his first shot. She was so impressed that she informed Rakesh Roshan (Hrithik’s father) of her belief in Hrithik’s star power.
Farah recalled how she had approached the actor during the early stages of his career, offering him a role in a script she had written where he would play the young boy. Hrithik, excited by the prospect of working alongside Shah Rukh Khan, eagerly accepted. However, after ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ was released and Hrithik skyrocketed to stardom, circumstances changed.
