Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, accused of sexual harassment, returned to India from Munich on Thursday at around midnight. His flight landed at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
He has been taken into custody by the SIT authorities.
The suspended JD(S) leader, in a self-made video, released on May 27, had said that he will appear before the SIT on May 31 for questioning.
Revanna claimed that his trip was pre-planned as there was no case against him when the voting was held in Karnataka on April 26 for the general elections.

Prajwal Revanna is facing a probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Karnataka government over allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint by a woman who worked in his household. He had reportedly left for Germany on April 27, a day after Hassan went to polls
Revanna, earlier on May 28, filed an application for anticipatory bail as he is set to return to India on Friday. Notably, his anticipatory bail plea was filed hours after the SIT arrested two prime accused in connection with the case.
The arrested have been identified as Naveen Gowda and Chetan, ANI reported.
Moreover, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday said that action has been initiated to revoke the diplomatic passport of Revanna, adding that he has to reply to the show cause notice issued on May 23.
Congress MP DK Suresh before the arrival of the Hassan MP said, “He (Prajwal Revann) has already mentioned that he is attending SIT tomorrow. The SIT will take care of that.”
Youth Congress president Mohammed Haris Nalapad accused the BJP of helping Revanna ‘go outside’ the country.
“The program of Prajwal Revanna to go outside India is sponsored by BJP. On the day of the 26th of May after polling, he was sent immediately with a diplomatic passport outside…The BJP, Narendra Modi ji, Amit Shah ji and our Yediyurappa ji all planned together and sent to Prajwal Revanna outside,” he said.
